I am new to straights and i bought my first one today and wanted to know if anyone knew anything about it Says EKS and on the tang it says germany I hope that helps with iding the razor.

That's one of their smaller ones. It looks like a 4/8s. They made many with the model Gold krone on it. They make a very good razor.

I'm loving the look of 4/8s razors.

I had stopped to look for whet stone and got a nice natural for 2.50 went to use the card and said that i needed 5 or more to use it so what the hey i bought it for 5 looks like i win

Looks like it's in good condition, and it's from Germany, so you know it's good.

What kind of a stone did you get?

There are a lot of natural stones that could be had for $5 or less. Some are great, some are junk. Chances are yours is in the second category, but it's hard to tell without more info.
You really don't want to hone this razor - send it to one of the guys that offer this service and you'll be happy when you get it back. You'll end up doing it anyways, so make their life easier and keep your razor unabused by not putting it to the hone.

The stone i got is a good whet stone it put a great edge on two of my knives. I want to try and put an edge on this one My wife is buying me a nice razor for our annie and i will want to send that one off. Who here offers the sharpening service?

You'll find honing a razor a bit different than honing a knife, so you'll most likely need a finer stone than what works for a knife, at least for the later stages of the honing progression. Check this out: Beginner's Guide to Honing - Straight Razor Place Wiki, I hope it's helpful.
