Definitely digging the str8t experience. It's was like butter on the cheeks but it's going to take a lot of work to map my neck again. I've got a smallish beard so I get to skip the really hard areas and managed only two weepers but did poke myself w/ the spike point in a second of inattention.

Thanks everyone for vicariously giving me the nerve to throw a HHT sharp blade against my skin. Thanks Bud for the great King Razor. Look forward to the hair growing back for some more practice.

+1.. It's not a race my man. Stay with the area between your sideburn and jawline until you are totally comfortable with maneuvering your blade. When you can confidently do XG at least in those areas then move on to other facial areas. One thing that worked for me was to add new areas and techniques on days off when I could take the time to learn it without any time constraints. But, to each his own... Well done so far!!

Hey! Congrats on your first shave. Go slow, and keep at it, no prize for rushing into things (unless you call a 3" scar on your neck a prize

)

I find it helpful to keep the blade angle really shallow on the neck, especially against the grain.
