    Where do I find what the heck ya'll are talking about with all those acronyms? PACO

    The link to the Wiki that Gugi has in the Newbie's sticky post will show you the abbreviations and acronyms that are specific to shaving: "BBS" for "baby's butt smooth," and so on.

    Also, lots of users here also use abbreviations that are widely used elsewhere on the internet, or in text messaging: for example, "AFAIK" for "As far as I know..." There are several "dictionaries" of internet abbreviations. Here is a link to one:

    You're not alone: I'm online for a few hours each day at least, yet I am constantly running into abbreviations that I don't yet know!

    I always feel that acronyms and abbreviations should be avoided. They require a prior knowledge of the topic and they making archiving more difficult. I think that the benefits of saving a few seconds do not justify their use. I have posted about this in the past. However, since I do not think that I will go anywhere trying to show people the disadvantages of using them in this forum, here is a link to the list found in the wiki:
