Thread: Honemasters in Boston?

I purchased a straight razor last spring and had it professionally honed. I spent a couple of months shaving with it (and enjoying it!) until the blade began to dull. Having set the straight edge aside for the past half year, I would now like to learn how to sharpen the blade on my own.

I have spent time reading through the guides on honing, but feel that I could learn what I need to acquire and how to physically sharpen a blade MUCH faster if I could actually meet someone, talk about the process, and have the person show me the correct technique.

In any case, if someone in the Boston area with experience would be willing to tutor me in honing, I would pay them for their time and effort.
