    Default Dinged my Dorko

Erhh.... tonight I thought I'd try the hot towel and I found out I had to do that a bit differently..

I rinsed my face with hot water.. made lather.. more hot water on my face.. lathered up.. hot towel.. so far so good..

Then I had one briljant idea... I thought I could strop my razor (the Dorko) while I had a hot towel on my face... I hit the door of the cabinet with my razors with the edge of the razor... at first it didnt look too bad but when I started stropping some leather got stuck to the razor.. So a very close inspection reveeled a tiny ding on the edge.. So its back to the hone with this dear friend..

I stropped another Razor and shaved (it was a pretty good shave) and told SWMBO that it was good I had another razor to finish the shave.. I guess it will be fine now to buy more razors..

You should be banned for this and your razors taken away! You should send the Dorko to me to atone for this sin!

I've honed my Dingo just took a look under the loupe and saw a tiny ding that had to go..
I just started with the DMT6E and saw that after a while the ding turned into a tiny chip and after that it disappeared.

after that I took it to the BBW with slurry and the diluted the slurry when the scratches from the DMT where gone and did 100 laps on the coticule with water..

Tomorow evening I'll give it a go.. see if it shaves as well as before..

    Default Hone success

Well... I just shaved with the Dorko and it was great... maybe even better than before removing the Ding..

The dorko was my first honing success and now also my second.. So it must be a pretty easy razor to hone..

Now how the hell do I remove that smile... from my face..
