And look at it this way - the striaght is an instrument that has been making men look great since the earth has been spining. Ancient Egyptians used straights, Moses used one, Abraham used one. They have been around since the dawn of time and are really quite good at the job. Although the straight did not reach the pinacle of its design until the 1950s with the introduction of Stainless Steel, in my opinion, its largely remained identical to the way its looked for centuries. If George Washington was alive today and was presented with a modern straight to shave with he would emeidately recognize the razor and understand exactly what needs to be done, stainless steel would no doubt give him a bit of pause.
