What is the best (quality, looks, performance) razor I could get for $150?

Personally what would you get if you had that much money for a new shaver?

One that works for you. That is because there are too many variables inherent to your question to give a sensible answer. If I had to spend that sort of money, I would go for a TI Le Grelot 6/8ths, but just because I already have one that works extremely well.

Why do you not take a look at the Classifieds. There are lots and lots of excellent razors in the 80-150 USD range at the moment.

I already own some vintage blades. I'd like to try my hands at something new. That TI sounds pretty interesting though.

While I can't personally attest to the Micarta, I can say that if I had the money for one I'd buy it. I got the Dovo Ebenholz and for the money I don't think it could be beat. I love how it shaves and it looks simply FABulous.

I'd get five to ten blades off the bay not just one but then I'm a total cheapskate.

I'd likt to ry a duck sometime, but they always ge bid out of my reach. I've no interest in any of the new production razors out there. If I got anything new it would be a custom and then I'm afraid $150 wouldn't begin to cut it.

I love the look of the micarta.Just a stunning piece in my view. I've heard that it's quite hard to hone though..

Any stainless steel blade is a challenge to hone properly.
