    Talking Round, spike, french....?

Hello Fellas. I'm really not a newby, I just forgot my password and had to re-register. I was a member about 2 years ago. You don't want to know the details of my absence.

Question: When trimming a mustaiche with a straight, do you recommend smaller blades with straight edges? Does anyone have a straight that they recommend?

    Thanks

    Welcome back to SRP.
while i do not wear i mustache i find that spikes, french and spanish point razors give the most control in tight spaces. also the smaller the blade the tighter he area you can work. YMMV

    Default Welcome back, Alan

I agree with Jim. Rounds are out, spikes are best and the smaller the better. Any reputable brand will do. i use a 3/8 Swedish Heljestrand with a French point for close work.

I personally don't like spikes but french or spanish points are fine. Just a personal preference... ... ...
