    Default Light Touch

I think I press too hard with the razor, how can I soften my touch if you will? It is difficult to tell what is appropriate pressure.

Good observation. Stretch the skin well and start with simply contacting your face with the razor. Modulate the pressure gently from there. If your razor is pulling and your are getting mildly uncomfortable or substandard results, you might be trying to muscle through the shave. Don't do that. Touch up the blade or get another one and start again.

Good stropping is your way to make any edge perform its best. I do 60 laps on leather and sometimes precede that with a dozen or more on the linen. I also strop a dozen or more laps on the leather after the shave. We know that one cannot strop too much. You can strop badly. The way to learn to strop well is to strop often. My stropping has come along way since adopting this credo.
