Default Would like to join up

    Hey all,

I'm a newcomer from B&B. I've been wetshaving with a Merkur HD for a while now, and would like to get into Straight razor shaving. Can anyone recommend a good "newbie" kit that includes the essentials, at a good price (as in as cheap as possible...starving Art major here).

I already have all the wetshaving stuff (brush, mug, soap, cream, etc). I just need a razor and whatever goes along with that.

    Thanks!

    Tyler

The Well-Shaved Gentleman also offers nice starter kits.

Tony Miller's strops are really superb, sort of the standard that other new strops are judged by.

He offers a starter kit with razor and strop. It's how I got started.

It appears the Well-Shaved Gentleman is currently on sabbatical. According to his site, he is holding off on providing razors and strops for the time being.

Are there any other recs beside? I have contacted him, and he has some available, but I would like to see if any others are out there before I buy from him

    Thanks
