Default Major bout of SCAD/ASAD after only first month of shaving

Only 1 month into this new hobby and its already becoming an obsession. Cant stop buying SC and AS!!! Is this normal for other newbies?

In the last week I went for:

    Georgetown Scuttle
    TOBS preshave gel
    TOBS Lemon/Lime SC
    CF Lime SC
    CF Lavender SC
    CF Lavender AS
    Aqua Velva AS
    Caribbean Bay Rum Lime AS
    Pussers Lime AS

Believe me, I had to FORCE myself not to order some of the Harris products and more T&H products. This could become a problem lol.

I got a veriaty of soaps and had some newbie RAD. Both were either A) I saw deals that looked real good or B) I wanted to try a lot of things out.

Nice collection. Lime is a winner in my book.

Thanks - a lot of people on here say that Caste Forbes is to die for so I had to try it out. I'm a big fan of Lime and I also really like the Bay Rum scent. I feel a bout of RAD coming on in the not-to-distant future

    Same here.

Been shaving w/ a straight for ... hm ... 3 months now? Started with the basic white Wal-Mart shaving soap and boar brush. But then I started reading into these forums WAY too much and these guys here ... man ... so many choices. Like sitting down at a restaurant where the menu is 16 pages long, you can't decide on what you want to eat / what you want to shave with. I've always always been addicted to variety in life, nary a moment of satisfaction with the known or the steady. So I think that half the fun of shaving is trying out different combos of what I own now. Try this razor with that cream, finished with that aftershave ... the combinations you can use go up exponentially with how many creams, soaps, razors are in your collection.

Currently I own two 6/8 razors: one Dovo Special (was my first, honed by Lynn) and one TI Evide Sonnant Extra hollow. The TI is currently my #1 sharpness reference as I aquired it a month ago only. The Dovo is my "experimental" razor, which I have put to the hone already not because it got dull so soon but because I wish to see if I could obtain edges close to Lynns ... I CAN'T. In any case I'll keep trying my hand at the Dovo and finishing with the couticule until it approaches the current TI level.

Rock! And keep it real .....

    ... sharp

There's nothing wrong with having a good selection of gear to choose from!

If you like lime, try some Musgo Real products, they're very popular too.
