Thread: New guy hello!

Hey guys! I'm brand new, not only to SR shaving (I don't even own one yet), but to sites like these in general. This is the first site I've joined and to be honest, I don't even know if what i'm typing is going to even show up, let alone show up in the right place! Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and thank you for having such a great site! I'm looking forward to picking the brains of all you pros out there in hopes of one day possibly being good at this myself! THANKS! And by the way, if this shows up in the wrong place I'm sorry! I'm telling you, brand new!

P.S. Im a fireman in kentucky. I know there's bound to be some other firefighters on this site. If so,
give me a yell!

Welcome! Glad to have you. I'm new to straight razor shaving, too. Stick around---this is the absolute best place in the world to get info on straight shaving. So---how did you get interested in straight razors?

Straights are uncannily fun. You might be surprised how fast they can "multiply" in the dark after you get your first one.

Agreed, mine won't stop multiplying. My wife is starting to get annoyed with me.

But in all seriousness, welcome to the site. Don't be afraid to ask questions. You'll find a huge collection of knowledge on this site and plenty of people that are willing to help.

I don't know really. I'm completely fed up with electric razors I can tell you that! I've always loved the look of straights and always wanted a SR shave. So I started looking around and it didn't take long to find this place! I decided just to dive in and go for it!

Hey, welcome to the forums. You will be glad you made the switch.

Welcome mate. Soon enough you will be fighting off all the various acquisition disorders.

When you decide to take the plunge you will find a wealth of helpful information here as well as a lot of people who will help you solve any problems. It's the nicest group of people I've ever run across.
