    Default Scalloped spine. Advantages / disadvantages?

    Does the scalloping provide anything other than aesthetics? The only thing I can think of is to make it a bit lighter. Input from those more experienced than myself would be wonderful. Of course, that means almost everyone...

    Advantage: looks really cool!

    Disadvantage: Looks reallly cool. Makes you buy yet another razor...

    It's aesthetics! No other reason needed. The only exception might be when the scalloping flows into the shank, at which point it can help with the grip.
