Thread: interesting question maybe

the sticky at the top of this thread, it seems like great information, but looking at the users status I see they are banned. Maybe nobody wants to talk about it, but I'm just curious what an obviously good contributor did to get banned (mostly cause I don't want to do it).

I have to say I've been curious about that since I first came to this site.

I don't know about the specific case but in general the whole idea of the site is to act in a gentlemanly manner and not insult anyone and no spam type posts. Those situations will usually cover why most get themselves into trouble. Most problems happen in the conversation forum where people tend to sometimes get carried away with the subject at hand and posts can sometimes get abusive.As a moderator myself we usually try and contact people and work things out but to actually get banned that is rare and you really have to work at it for it to happen.

That is odd. I find it difficult to imagine Glen doing anything from which to get banned. He was a Moderator here for a while. Could there be some mistake?

Bottom line is major difference regarding this forum itself. We choose to leave good contributions rather than delete them when the person is gone. This person is still contributing in a positive manner in the Yahoo site.
