Thread: I want to get a complete straight razor set

I search online and found a couple of websites that sell straight razors and I'm wondering if anybody knows of other websites that sell kits. Here's the one I found and wondering what people's thoughts on it. Thanks in advance.

I love classic shaving, I really do. I believe I've spent about 2k there since February. But if you want to get a hold of a set a bit cheaper you could try Kendrup I know he tries to put them together.

Just PM him through his name link if you like what you see. You don't get a cup brush or holder. But honestly you don't need the cup + holder (I don't bother with a cup and my holder, same type as in your link is too small for my brushes). You can get a good brush for the price difference - a really good one.
Also his razor is shave ready and he can put some cromium oxide on the back of your strop to make it quite nice for touching up. I find Cromium to be very easy to use.

Apparently you can also elect a wapi razor. Which is the one with stainless steel handle if you like that better than the first one depicted.

I agree with chady , you could do just as well with less money and kenrup would be the way to go. Hes always working on starter kits and is always ready to help anybody, not just the new guys.

Have to agree with classicshaving.com. I spend way too much money on that site. Expecting another shipment from them tomorrow. They do have some pretty affordable razors for the beginner in both SS and carbon.

I bought that same starter setup at classicshaving, but I got mine in forest green. I've been using it for about 5 months now and absolutely love it. I found Lynn's DVD to be the most valuable item in the kit.

I do believe that you can watch the video on theinternet now, uploaded by our moderators with consent of Lynn. I'm not entirely sure but its probably in the video section if so.
