Default My first complete shave, only one nick!

Well I finally grew some and decided to just jump in and stop with only doing my cheeks. I started with the electric beard trimmer to get the goatee, or circle beard if you will, down to a shavable length.

I did one pass WTG, one pass ATG, and a little XTG in the places I had trouble going ATG. My face looked BBS except where the goatee was since thats where it grows thickest. I could feel some patches here and there that were rough ATG but I didn't care. I had promised my self there would be no touch ups with the DE and I'm happy to say I didn't touch it once. Actually that's a lie, I used it on a few hairs i later noticed I missed right on my adams apple.

I did nick my upper lip once when my hand shook a little. Nothing bad, just some blood. Im a little happy I did it though since prior to that I had dreaded cutting myself. Now I know that it's really not all that painful.

All in all I'd say it was pretty good for my first full shave. Now that I know I can do it I can't wait for my hair to grow back in enough to shave again.

    Well, congratulations!!!
When you are shaving with an instrument that has the capability to be sharper than a razor blade and is definitely sharper than a surgical scapel, you find that a little nick really does not hurt. In addition, it usually closes up with cold water or at little witchhazel. Worst case is the application of a little stypic pencil.
