Thread: Another Newbie Intro

Just wanted to introduce myself--I'm Charles and I have caught the str8 razor bug as well. Still looking to buy my first good str8 (I bought a cheap one through ebay before I found SRP--Thank god I was not stupid enough to try to shave with it). I keep watching B/S/T but I just don't seem to be fast enough. I have noticed that one of the members here sell 5/8 wapis for $40 at thewellhozedrazor.com--are those good razors? Being new I do not recognize any razor brands other than Dovo and TI. Anyway, sorry for the Ramble, just wanted to introduce myself.

Welcome Charles!! Yes, Mike Ratliff (Mike_ratliff) is the one who sells those Wapi's, and they get great reviews. Definitely a good starter razor.

Sometimes it's hard to catch a razor in the B/S/T, but you can always place a Wanted ad, and people will respond very quickly!

Thanks for the info Chris- I will probably end up posting a want ad on BST, but I saw that someone else just posted one today and I didn't want to step on any toes. Any other advice on a good "affordable" newbie razor?

Welcome to the forum. I am still in the process of gathering my equipment and I am sending my razor to Lynn this weekend. Once I have everything and I have watched Lynn's video I will make my first attempt at a str8 shave.

I have found everyone here to be helpful in the extreme. Come on in the lather is fine.
