Thread: first razor

I'd just like to thank you all her for the help and generosity that you've given me, and the information i have learned from the forums. I received my first shave ready razor in the mail today, and can't wait to give it a shot. ( I shaved last night, so I'm gonna give it a day or so first).
In other news, I would also like to say that I also received a pretty inexpensive ebay razor today, an successfully brought it up to pass the HT after stropping using some barber hones from tilly (thanks). All in all a great day, and now the only thing left to do is pass my physics exam tonight. So thank ya'll and i'll kepe you updated.


Oh yeah, and i had a quick question. The ebay razor is a beau brummel wedge, and although it is in nice condition, just some staining, the pin is loose when closed, but nice and tight when open. Is there a way to make it tighter while closed, but not affect it too much when it is open?
