    Euge,

If you're in rush in the morning why not shave
the night before? There was a post recently and
it appeared most members here shave in the
afternoon or night. Unless of course your beard
    grows too quickly.

I store my razors in the linen closet. I have a three
year old that I certainly don't want getting a hold
of my straights, plus I like the idea of keeping them
out of the bathroom thus away from the humidity.

Shaving at night wouldn't work for me consistently. I used to try to work out at night, but things would always come up and I could never maintain it. I know the same would happen with a shave. I'd be too tired, drunk, etc. (Oh boy, the thought of me handling a straight razor when I'm buzzed . . . ouch.)

Doing things in the morning for me is the only way for my routine to remain consistent. And plus, I shower in the morning.

    1. I use a straight exclusively, despite the fact that I don't always have time to shave at night (the only time I shave until I get real confident and become a morning person). If I don't have time for a shave, I go to work with stubble. Honestly, the straight razor gives me such a good shave that three shaves a week is good...Sunday, Monday and Wednesday.

    2. There are a billion ways you could put yours on display. Check out some of the pictures of shave dens around the forums here to see what others do for inspiration.

    3. There are a couple guys who hone here. It's usually $20ish from what I've seen (correct me if I'm wrong guys) and with normal use, you only need that done every 2-3 months. With use you're describing, it'll be much longer than that before needing a sharpening.

    4. It's your preference on the steel. Stainless will stain less, stay sharp a bit longer but be a touch more difficult to hone, and be a bit more expensive. Carbon steel should be taken good care of, will dull quicker but is easier to hone, and is generally cheaper.
