    Default severe rash

    Hi,
just tried it for the first time and it worked quite well. Didn't cut myself (so far). However, I experienced a severe rash on my throat. Burning & Red - clearly irritated skin. I shaved with the grain using my old cream.
    Any advice?
    Thx

You are probably using too much pressure either due to bad technique or a dull razor!
    Most likely both!

The straight will give a closer shave than almost anything else you've ever used (really removing some skin cells) , so even though the rest of your face is fine the more sensitive skin on your neck could be acting out against your shave cream. Try another cream or try building the lather on your face. I find that when I do this I get a somewhat thicker, more protective, layer between the blade and the skin. I also find a cold water rinse can really bring down irritation.

Probably too much angle and/or a slightly dull razor and/or too much pressure.

I think this is one of those cases where "going slow" will get you there a lot faster...
