Default Newbie - Just bought my 1st razor.

    Hi,

Iv been reading and soaking up all the information on your website for the last week or so now. Has been very useful in my quest for learning a new skill.

Here is the razor i have just bought this lovely straight:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWN:IT&ih=006

A bit more than i wanted to pay but i think worth it considering it has been made shave ready, by someone who is recomended on here.

Its actually my second, the first being a wedge Sheffield. Blade was not in a condition that i could use as i do not have a hone, yet.

I will be selling it if anyone is on the market for such an item. It is very sharp and the edge is in perfect condition and i have cleaned it up quite well. Maybe just needs stroping, not sure.

Will be having a go with my new one as soon as i get it and hopefuly wont do too much damage, im too pretty for scars.

    Regards

Too pretty for scars? No, no, it adds character.

If you've been soaking up the information on this site you should be fine. Don't forget that if you ever have any questions or doubts, just post a question here before you go and ruin yourself (or the blade, or both!).

The too pretty comment was extremely tongue in cheek, so wouldn't read too much into that.

But apart from that I look forawrd to being a part of this group. I have always been interested in knives and being able to sharpen thm myself.
I dont get too much use out of knive tho as im not too keen a camper or anything like that. So something i have to do everyday might as well incorporate a skil i enjoy plus i get to learn (i hope) another.
