Thread: Is this a good Razor/Price?

I happen to see it on ebay well at work and for $6 I couldn't pass. It will be my first straight razor! I did buy one from a guy on here but never made it to my house. So I jumped on this hey its german made you can't go wrong with that.

Poor photo so the condition isn't clear. "Blade nice and sharp" does not mean that it is close to shaving sharp so it'll most likely require honing. But it doesn't look too shabby at six bucks.

I just won 2 barber hones on ebay a med grit and a fine. So they will be here before the razor. Or I'll throw $20 to my old barber and see if he will hone it for me. Its german made so I didn't think I could go wrong.

i've not heard of them before but a search on "beyer" turned up a few member who have that on the list to look for... you will need some restoration on that blade though.

besides the scales if they are decent are worth that much

So this begs the question... you have been hanging around here for nearly a year and have not made the leap of faith?

out of curiosity what are you shaving with?

Fat boy DE adj is what I shave with for a yr now.

So you are saying that you have all the other things and are just in need of a razor? --- i can help with that
