    Default Average time between honing

I realize that the time between honing will vary dramatically depending on the toughness of ones whiskers, quality of the steel, care taken with the blade etc… But if you had to hazard a general timeline between hones, with a daily stropping on an average blade with an average beard, what would that be?

I know the obvious answer, when the blade gets dull , but would it be bi weekly, monthly, every 5 days… Right now I shave every morning but only have one razor, for now.

This may make a nice poll question.

Between 12-16 weeks if care is taken when stropping. Don't get lazy!

Sounds good, I can put the whetstones away until I get my next razor.

I have a couple of scooters, the GoldWing in the avatar and a Ninja for dragging the knees.

Ditto on the timelines or when your blade starts pulling your whiskers or gliding over them rather than cutting them cleanly.

Using a four to seven razor rotation, I get upwards of six months between with the occasional touch on a barber hone.
