    Default Starter set...

So, I've ordered my razor (from izlat, thanks man!). It's an old Wostenholm, full round 5/8, which I think will be a good place to start. Next I plan to order one of the starter sets from thewellshavedgentleman.com without a razor. In particular the set that comes with the multi-sided paddle strop. This one...

The site mentions that it's possible to get some of the sides pre-pasted. What I want to know is: 1) Should I do this? 2) How many sides should I get pasted? 3) Which grits are best for a Wostenholm? Pictures of the razor below...it's the razor on top. Thanks guys.

Tough question. I'd say "Yes!" I would suggest .25 and .5 and leave the last of the 3 unpasted (obviously one is going to stay your daily strop) so you can add something yourself later, like maybe diamond paste.

It has very little to do with any individual razor though, just fyi.
