The first is the most difficult! Down hill from here. You will find that experimentation and patients are your friend!

    Bravo!!!

Congrads! Now if a few shaves from now you have a bad day/shave just remember that you got a long way to go before it becomes natural. Just watch that pressure as its what will cause you issues.

What I do is, holding my hand away from my face so I can see the sideburn and razor, touch the razor's toe lightly to the skin where the sideburn ends, then bring the hand closer to the face, maintaining the horizontal alignment of the blade until I can feel the edge is touching all along the bottom of the sideburn. Then do the downward stroke. Repeat as necessary.

Doesn't work if you're stretching the skin, but you can stretch the skin and get a closer shave on the ATG pass, because now you can see exactly where the sideburn ends.

It sounds complicated and takes some practice, but soon enough it only takes a couple of seconds and you don't even think about it.

^^^ This is important to remember. Just shave the lather. No pressure pushing the razor to your face is needed
