It was a wonderful trip. We traveled the full length of the country and would go back in a heartbeat.

Not starting out 10 years sooner (at least) so I could have snagged many, many vintage razors for a song! Eschers might have been affordable then, too.

Well John, There is probably some 90 year old papsan using it on a daily basis now and is making his living as a barber with it. He is giving extraordinary shaves now that he has a great strop and it's all thanks to you. I mean don't take it as a loss. You can always think that you bettered someones life and feel good about it.

Do you think that could be possible?

Okay back to the thread. I regret that I have the need for perfection - I honed an old Wade & Butcher and had it shaving pretty well. But in my pursuit of perfection, I tried some different ways to get it sharper/smoother and I ended up screwing the whole blade up. I threw it on the floor and broke it in half. Really stupid!!!! Anger is always regrettable.

Now I listen to my inner voice that says that's enough. If it's shaving good, leave it alone.

I regret the one and only time I opened a bottle of Lilac Vegetal.
