Default New guy looking for local mentors Raleigh N.C.

I'm new to straight razors but completely fascinated by them, especially the vintage ones. There's just something really cool about embracing tools and techniques from the turn of the century. I've done what I guess most newbs don't do and read the beginner info. Unfortunately, I didn't find this site until I had already made a few of the most common mistakes. So I'm following advice and looking for a local mentor in the Raleigh N.C. area. I tend to take on all new hobbies with a well meaning but overly enthusiastic passion, therefore, I now have four straight razors and I'm not sure what is or is not wrong with any of them or which ones are worth investing my time in (I'm guessing picking the best one and sticking with it) until I get a real clue what I'm actually doing, alas I have no clue. So any help would be appreciated.

You can d a member search then reach out via PM. Also if you go ahead and put your location in your profile members close to you might just reach out to you. The N.C. Group used to get together regularly. Tc
