    Default New from Raleigh N.C.

    Hey all,
    Not sure if this is where I'm supposed to post this but here goes. I started wet shaving about a month ago and was addicted after my first shave. I decided I wanted to go the next step and try straights, so I bought a shave ready Genco and had at it. I managed to shave my entire face without incident, but it was slightly intimidating (should've read the library first, but I wasn't a member yet, which I have now) and now I'm hooked. Got a lot to learn and I look forward to the journey and the wealth of information here.

    Welcome to the forum!

    The most important things are a good lather and proper stropping. Once you have those down, it'll be a little less intimidating. Practicing with a butterknife on your strop will help with the manual dexterity before you use your shave ready blade.
