Not sure if this is the right place for me. I'm currently training to do straight razor shaves and barbering and would love some hints and tips. I've successfully carried out a number of shaves already and so far so good.

Absolutely and welcome! You'll find a wealth of knowledge and people eager to help you! Just a suggestion: you may want to add your location to your info, so that people close to you geographically can offer to show or teach you technique, honing, soaps, different blade types, etc.
