Hello, I'm new to the world of straight razors. I have almost everything I need to start except a razor. Now I know that certain places like online bidding markets aren't always the best place to buy things, but I came across this and this price seems ok ($75) and I'm curious if this is a real dovo? If someone could a help a new guy out that would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it's real. Only $90-100 new I believe. Looks in good condition. Don't know if it is shave ready. Good starter Razor.

Thank you, I'll ship it out to get honed once it comes in. I'm assuming there are people here that can hone razors here.

By the time you do that you can just order be from SRD and it'll already be honed ready. Tc

Looks legit to me! I have a Dovo Best Quality full hollow round point that I started with from SRD. Tc is correct in that: you won't really save yourself any money or hassle if you purchase that one for $75.

When I got my Dovo from SRD (a little more than a year ago), it was only a bit over $100. Can't recall what I paid for shipping. BUT, here is the kicker: all razors that SRD sends out are honed to "shave ready", AND come with a voucher for one free honing on that razor. That is splendid because many of us fubar the edge with bad stropping.

I'll stop myself before I ramble on for too long.

You should add your location to your profile, that way we have an idea of what services/shops to direct you to. It also helps when it comes time to look for one on one guidance, or just to shoot the breeze with other like minded shavers.

Have fun with this new sport.
