    Hey all.
    I just joined the group and have a quick question. i have a JA Heckles Zwillingswerk #98 with Tuesday stamped on the top of the blade. any help on how to date it?

    There is a logo, the logo has changed over time, Heckles has been in business since around 1731. They made a ton and a half of razors and there are a lot of them out there. he good news they are very good razors.

    This is sort of a guideline as to when the logo has changed. It is not exact by any stretch and does not ever cover all of the configuration, kind of a mass generalization. It will give you a good idea. Most Henckel razors you see are made between 1900 and 1960ish.
    The day stamp on the back means it is from a seven day set.

    It looks very typical of a first half of the 1900's Henckels, likely pushing more towards 20's or 30's. It need a little work but is capable of providing some very nice shave for a lifetime or two.
