Congratulations, three years later I still eagerly look forward to each shave, soap and brush with just as much enthusiasm as the first time I picked up my freshly arrived Dovo Best Quality, and pretty much felt the same way you describe. It's great fun, a great way to calm and center the mind, and an interesting skill to develop and share with your friends.

Take your time, enjoy, and you're right, no need to rush....
