    Default Always learning!

I am now about 2 1/2 years into this "graduate program" in shaving. I have shaved for more than 50 years and have used everything commonly available from Gillette DE in the 60s to SRs, of which I now have about a dozen (give or take).

i was one of those shavers for my first 10 years who would go into a drugstore, see something new, and say, "this has got to be better". If I had kept them all, I could sell them now to collectors, and retire for real. Then along came a SR in about 1983 in a Hoffritz store. Bought it and a strop, shaved with it maybe 3 weeks and gave up....no internet, no handy pamphlets, no time to go to the library, so in the gunsafe it went. (Never thought to ask my barber.)

Come 2013, I pull it out and say, I gotta try this again, find SRP, and the rest is history. Except..

Yesterday I was shaving and tried a new angle, on a usually troublesome spot...SUCCESS! Today I tried switching to my opposite hand where I'd usually use my same side hand, and SUCCESS! Tried a new stretch direction, and it worked better!

So this long story to say, it's a learning process of what works for YOU. And at least for me, the learning is still happening after 50 years. So if you've been at this for 3 weeks or 6 months and think it sucks, read some more, watch more videos, try something different and keep trying.

It's all part of the learning process, which is the fun, which is what life is about: live and learn!
