Default Pre-Shave before my 3rd pass seems to have made a huge difference

Tonight on what is about my 20th shave on this learn-as-you-go journey, I had the thought
to apply my pre-shave oil before my first pass and before my last pass. Maybe lots of people do this,
but wow, what a difference it made! Today I had my best shave yet - by far! This is now on the menu
    every shave.

If it's working just do it, I,m of the opinion if it works for you till you learn how to do it without the crutches it'll keep you interested, but I think most as I did , found out after our technique and stropping gets better none of that is needed, all the extra I done in. Beginning I don't do anymore after about 4-6 months, my edges are great and I can keep them that way and technique ,, it'll come. Good luck. Tc

As has been said, if it works for you then go for it. I think it is worth reviewing your process fairly regularly though as I don't think pre shave products are really necessary once you have your technique down.
