    The nice thing about us straight razor users is that MOST of us do not have thin skins!

    Particularly as a beginner I think overcapitalising is a terribly detrimental thing, you can't figure out the square root of bugger all if you change your razor and/or soap/cream and or strop on an almost daily basis. All you learn is how to use lots of stuff badly.
    Nicely put ed.Have lost count how many razors I have purchased, well over 100. Pretty much stuck to two razors for the first six months, both 5/8 full hollow. I would encourage anyone new to read your beginners tips.

    Oh my, I'm not sure this is a good idea;
    It has been years since I took pics of my meager collection, but here's a few old ones with some of the stash.

    Anyways, here's my travel kit for honing:

    And here is my hone-station:

    And a few of my custom razors that I had an old pic of:

    Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

    I am trying not to let myself fall to the sickness. I only have 7 SRs. I will have to take a pic tomorrow to show you.

    Now Now I am not going to be like you guys now. I swear I have enough razors, but I could use another 5 or 6 brushes so that doesn't count.

    Ok stop me if this sounds familiar to anyone. I told my girlfriend I'm going to buy two SR and then I can save money on buying disposable razors. Just what I've spent in 3 months I could have bought disposables for the next ten years.
