I have 2 TI razors and both of them are slightly wider than the advertised width, I think that is their way of assuring you get at least as much blade as you payed for, and a little extra. I like that, but I like wide blades.
Thanks, I love the random nature of rams horns knowing everyone is completely unique, feels awesome in the hand too. I originally wanted 6/8s anyway, but on the website they only sell the le grelot form razor in "11/16". I'm resisting shaving with her at the moment, still waiting for my strop to come in. It's at customs at the moment so will probably be next week.

You don't need to buy a practice strop, just use a belt or strip of fabric of even newspaper. All you need to do is make something longish and flat, you are only going to be practicing the action. All of this is said with the caveat that you will practice with the gold Dollar.

    Little help guys please.

So I started with my feather dx around christmas and I got to the point where I haven't cut after the first 2 weeks, over the past 3 weeks or so I started ATG and now get near BBS shaves.

I ordered my TI and have resisted shaving with it until last week. I did a HHT and it wasn't as good as when I did it with the DX. So I ordered my modular paddle and went ahead practicing stroping with a gold dollar on a newspaper (thanks ed) wrapped around a book for a few minutes everyday.
I went ahead and shaved with it and the shave felt really harsh, I completed 3 passes and the shave was no where near as close or comfortable as my DX, I put it down to first shave adjustments. The next day the strop arrived, I went ahead and completed 20 laps on the scrub leather and 50 on the premium and proceeded to shave, shave felt harsh but went a little better, after shaving I stropped again (i intend to strop after shaves instead of before) and performed the HHT and it went great, I felt it was really sharp. So shave after, HHT was not as good anymore, so I repeated my stropping routine and no change, I took to my arm hair and it didn't shave too great, some hairs were not cutting, I turned the blade around on the other side and it was cutting great on that side but not the other. I've been told not to rely on HHT. I'm thinking I've rolled the edge.

Advice? I have the diamond past with the modular paddle but I'm reluctant to use it at this point, unless advised.

How should a shave ready TI feel compared to a feather artisan blade?

    I
