    Default Chipped blade :(

So the last time I shaved I did not keep my hands dry enough and dropped my Dovo into the sink. Today I went to shave and noticed this:

This is a pretty bad dent in the blade. How salvageable is it? I'm pretty new to all this so any advice is much appreciated!

    That will hone right out.
    No big deal.

Looks salvageable to me. Needs to be honed out and you will loose a bit of blade width in the process. I would send it out to have the work done if you have no experience honing.

This happens to many people. Send it away to get it honed, it's not too big of a deal, and you'll never know it happened. There's lots of resources here to get it honed.

    You are very lucky.
That small ding is very minor compared to what could have happened.
If you fingers get too slippery just rub a bit of Alum and you will have your grip back.
Also be very careful if you chose to rinse your blade under the faucet, many here will attest to the fact you are eventually going to do much the same.
Bottom Line,.......Soon you will be able to S.LA.M. again.

I did the same thing banging my blade on the faucet while rinsing it. It'll hone right out.
