Earcutter hit on the same solution I did for my neck and under my chin....a scything or "windshield wiper" stroke where the pivot end of the razor is still and the blade rotates across/down/ATG all at the same time, given the way my neck beard grows. Give it a try, but be careful...easy to slide the blade, which is dangerous.
