A Great Video on Prepping and Shaving with a Straight Razor
I believe you'll find this video to be an excellent reference for prepping and performing your shave. I think the fellow on this video does a fantastic job and it's clear that he knows what he's doing. Watch as he prepares the lather, his stropping technique and how he performs his passes.

I think Chimensch produced that video last year or the year before. It is very good and quite educational. You Tube is flooded with mediocre and some dreadful straight razor shaving videos. Chimensch's is in the top tier of quality videos on straight razor shaving and worth viewing many times. Thanks for posting it.

My pleasure. I agree. There's a lot of misinformation out there but this video is one of the best and most correct representations of good practice.

I fully agree with you, DoughBoy. This video falls in the "dreadful" category. I saw it couple years back and was embarrassed for this person. The biggest fault with it is that it is so juvenile — for a grown man.
