my 4 favorite razors, 3 of them in the best shaver category for me... were gifts, a boker extra hollow 6/8, a boker king cutter, a dd special #1 and a dd dwarf. the gifters: grandpa, dad, dad, late wife....

    enjoy,

Paid the princely sum of $8 American for the CV Heljestrand in my SOTD post today. It's currently in a dead heat with my $10 Imperial for the first chair. The most expensive razor in my stable is the first one I ever bought (a $25 Boker Red Injun). I'm in the process of sending a pre-1898 Fred Reynolds off to Glen for a restoration. When complete it will be my spendiest razor at a tad north of $100.

$23.00 but after the ebony scales I put on it was around $60.00 total.

What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

It's a toss up between a $30.00 Shumate Barber Deluxe and the Henkel Twins @ $72.00. Both razors were made not far from where I've lived and worked at one time.
