People pretty much know me around the interwebs as Antique Hoosier so I am that on every shaving forum except for one where I am known as my "NEW" personna which is "Minimalist"...People pretty much call me Mike though thanks to 8 years in the hobby...some call me Hoosier, some call me AH? and some call me OP (original poster)...Call me Mike or Michael.....

Whenever spazola is already taken, you can always use the back-up of RoundEyedMarbleHead!

Screen names are one of my favorite parts of forums. Some are very creative. My favorite is earcutter. Been there LOL. Mine came about because of my job. The term rollin coal is used to describe high performance diesel engines blowing plumes of black smoke. Being a diesel engine tech it just made sense to make it my screen name. The avatar is a pic of one sexy pete (rollin coal).....

Usernames are often frustrating as I never want to be ShawnSagitarius680001234 and, for whatever reason, most of the common variations of my name are too often taken. So, I started spelling things backward years and years ago... I am Emanym Ton (noT mynamE) on Bladeforums and when I was signing up for SRP I had just a stupid amount of difficulty with the Captcha Filter and must have had over 20 attempts before it finally went through... I think I was typing in the quotation marks or something goofy... So, I became Prahston (notsharP) here which is kind of a fun play on my initial lack of intelligence but now, thanks to SRP/Mods/Mentors/Meets, my honing/edges are spot on and I'm always looking for that tweak which provides greater sharpness, comfort and longevity.

Not sure why someone would regret a Username/Nic... I love hearing the stories behind Nics just as much as the info/knowledge contained in any given Forum... Though, I guess with a little added frustration during the Sign-Up I could have ended up... ImaButtMunchCaptchaSux...

When I was stationed in Korea 8/8 field artillery unit "steel" was what we said as we saluted an officer and it was also appropriate for a straight razor forum so....

Always be aware of the kinds of information you might be giving when you post - over time a picture can be built up about you and you may well be rather surprised at the sorts of detail it contains.

Not trying to be overly alarmist here, just a little food for thought.

I am so screwed (and yes I checked copy to see if screwed is a bad word and to my awe... Its not!!)!

I guess the only solace I can take in being forthright is, no one outside of this forum cares !!

As a long time Internet forum user, here is my two cents on screen names..

I chuckle when I see someone choose a name like "RazorNoob" or similar...

While it may be descriptive of their current situation, they will have to keep the name long after they have gained experience and long since outgrown the "noob" designation.

In response to earcutter and Jimbo: Should some one get interested in attempting to defraud me in any way the deeper they get into looking at my base the more they will want to start putting funds INTO my accounts rather than removing them.

I guess we better not tell Carl about this thread, he's in way too deep post wise for Gugi to change his user name.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???
