there have been days that i have been sweating bullets waiting for the mail hoping it gets here before my wife does. pretty sure if she knew all the stuff i bought i'd need a new place to sleep! how long did it take you guys to go "off the deep end" if you did? did you get carried away at the beginning or was it more gradual?

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

I think you are asking the wrong folks. One doesn't ask for an intervention of the dealers and fellow addicts, nothing good can come of it.

ha! i'll admit that after lurking the forums before making the leap i didn't try to fool myself once in to thinking i'd be saving money. now what i may or may not tell others is a different story.

well stated...unless the kind of "intervention" one seeks is really just encouragement

how could i resist? most of that stuff literally just fell in to my lap like it was meant to be. and by fell in to my lap i mean a quick google search returned everything i "needed".

To take my wifes mind off of what I am buying (hone, razor, strop, soap) I buy her shoes, woman with new shoes doesn't think about much else. I have slowed down a lot of the last few years, and now she asks why we haven't gone shoe shopping in a while.

Have it shipped to work, silly! Jeez.

And anyway, I don't see anything wrong here.

Ahh, Carl, I don't remember that thread but it made me laugh out loud just now.

Gentle non-Carl readers (that is, gentle readers who are not Carl), you should also know that in his early posts here Carl was on a quest for a two-razor sheath, because he was certain he'd never have more than two razors. Or was it a three-razor sheath, because he was certain he'd never have more than three razors? I just remember that he was quite strenuously certain he'd be able to count his collection on a really careless woodworker's hand. That's when we knew he'd be a special addition to our community.

Carl, I think you deserve your own acronym: CMS. Yeah, it only saves one letter, but it's got the cool factor. "Does CMS shave XTG, or only WTG and maybe ATG? Does CMS's tap water play well with MWF?" See, doesn't that feel cool?

    WWCMSD?
