Default First Straight Razor, want your opinion.

    Hi Guys,

Buying my first straight razor and thought of buying it from the classified ads on this site. I'm trying to get the best quality for the least amount of money. I know that Dovo is a good name, and I thought that the following would be a good first step. Dovo Best quality 6/8 half hollow blade (Reduced) - Straight Razor Place Classifieds

I have used a straight razor before, but it was more a barber razor Personna shaper style. Any advise would be great, If you think I would be better suited to a different one, please advise. I'd like to stay around the 50 or so mark.

    Thanks!

That's a good choice for a starter. A 6/8 or 5/8 Dovo round point is probably amongst the most popular razors for guys starting out.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

That's great to hear. I think the price is pretty good too and it looks to be in great shape.

Great choice for a first razor, but I have to warn you that buying it will surely infect you with RAD. )
