    Default First shave

Did my first shave last night with my new (to me) Robeson Shuredge. I did my cheeks and neck, couldn't quite bring myself to do my lip and chin. It went great. There were a few nicks and cuts on my neck, just a function of a new process, I think. Just thought I'd share!

Just take it slow and watch angles and especially the toe as it's a square point.

Two things I learned that helped me the most is stretching the skin and light pressure on the blade. Just keep working at it and take your time.

Yeah, those were two things I was most focused on: right angles and light pressure. With a nice, sharp blade, it makes it much easier to use light pressure. Thanks, again, Rod!

You were smart not to take on the whole face in the beginning. Me, I was a lunkhead, didn't take Lynn's advice and shaved the whole face. The center of the face and neck are the trickiest to get the hang of..or it was for me. I think that first shave took 50 minutes!

Congratulations to a good first shave. The shaves will get better and better with practice.

Just take things slow and you'll be fine. Enjoy the process as much as the result.
Keep your concentration high and your angles low!

Despite the high cost of living, it's still very popular.
