    Default Lathering with Synthetic Brush

I started DE shaving a few months ago. Purchased a Merkur DE,an Omega Synthetic Brush and Col.Conk Amber Shaving Soap.

When I first started, I soaked my brush, thinking it was just like any other brush..

So, one day I found out that I should just drizzle some water from the tap to the brush and start loading.
Is this the right method? Cause when I apply the 'cream', it sorta fades away for a few seconds.

P.S Just finished my Col.Conk and ordered the Imperial Shaving Soap.

I don't know if they are the same but I have a Muhle synthetic silver tip fiber brush. All I do is swirl it in cold water, give it a quick shake, put a dab of cream on it and face lather adding a little water as needed by dipping the very tips slightly in the water. Seems to work just fine that way with creams. Never soaked my brushes natural or synthetic.

For hard soaps it is the same routine and works just fine too so long as you load the brush enough on the puck.

I've had my Omega for 5 years now, it's my go to brush for all hard soaps. I give it a quick rinse with warm water and I'm good to go.

Whatever works best, there could be a lot of variations due to stuff like the chemical composition of your water and the temperature you like to use. Fortunately you can simply try several different ways and see which one gives you consistently better results. That's the correct one that you should use

There is also difference between various synthetic brushes. I forgot the brand of the fancy one I had (it was $50 instead of the standard $20) and it performed very much like a badger brush. It wasn't Omega, but Omega may also have a line with similar to these modern fibers.
