Wow. I've used every reason in the book to justify a razor purchase but never thought to use foreplay. Good on you for jumping right in. As has been said send it out for honing. Even though you're a "hands on learner" you can get to honing it yourself at a later date. Besides when it comes back from getting honed I suspect you'll have your hands full for a while.
