    I have indeed nicked myself because of poor lather that was too dry.

    Ahhh, lather!
    I have two soaps that I am working with:
    1. SRD unscented (it came in the SRD kit and I get what I 'think' is a decent lather).
    2. D.R. Harris Almond with the shave bowl.

    I've been experimenting with creating lather every night before I hit the rack, and as the word experiment implies, with varying degrees of success. Like with each incremental step forward in SR shaving, I can't believe I thought yesterday's result was good after what I achieved today.

    I really can't wait for tomorrows lather & shave!

    Yep me too, nicks, razor "chatter", excess pull all are a result of dry lather from what I have seen. Obviously the pull can be caused by a few things, but I have found dry lather to be one of the culprits
