Greetings!
Hello,
Please allow me to introduce myself. I am brand new to the world of straight razor shaving and am greatly looking forward to taking it all in. I had the opportunity to stop at Imperial Shaving last week and purchase a starter set. It included a Dovo Best Quality Blond, strop, mug, Lynn's DVD, Simpson brush and some assorted creams and soaps.
I've had the opportunity to get my first few SR shaves in this week and like your typical new guy, I am working through the learning curve. I am looking forward to diving though the archives here and learning more from all of you here.

CF, Welcome and hope you are enjoying the time spent here. I'm not familiar with Imperial but sounds like you got a nice starter set. One question. Did they have the Dovo honed for you? This is the single most important item to check.

Despite the high cost of living, it's still very popular.

@Brenngun -- It is part of SRD, on their website that is the address they give. Yes, the razor was honed and ready to go. I can see dropping several paychecks there over the next few years.

Welcome, and I'm glad I don't live close enough to be able to walk in to their store. I would never have any money left for savings!
