The internet is a real bonus. The videos and these forums are a godsend to a new learner.

I find it scary that thirty years ago was the eighties, I always think of it as the sixties or seventies, I am getting old.

A bit back to front I know, but welcome, do you mean a new razor, or a secondhand/ vintage razor, I think the selection of new production razors is fairly limited unless you want to spend a lot, though I haven't looked to deeply as my 3 razors are all preowned. And spending a lot is probably subjective. How did you go with the Aussie sites?

I gave Himage a look. Although not a big supply of strops they do have some good deals on soaps, brushes and the like. I think I might give it a go, and at 10 AUD, shipping seems very reasonable and definitely a bit lower to here than from the US. I am on the lookout for either or (pre-owned or new). Found a guy on ebay in Australia ,sellers id is rspe7027, seems good they all come shave ready( I need this at my present level) and price is reasonable and a pretty big selection. Just got to wait to pay day now and convince the wife I need another one.
