    I think cold water contracts your skin a little and hence makes it a bit stiffer and less sensitive. I too love the result of a cold water shave, but I'm too sissy now that outside temperatures are dropping Warm water, on the other hand, improves blood circulation and makes the skin softer and more sensitive.

    Ha! I actually did a nano-scythe yesterday. Just a teeeeeny bit. Worked well. Baby steps for me. Even though I've not sliced myself yet, I'm so very well aware that it's so very, VERY possible. Some of the bloody cuts immortalized on this site tell me so. Brrrrr!
